Osteochondral Injury of the Hip: Allograft OATS® Procedure

Brian D. Giordano, MD (Rochester, NY), and P. Christopher Cook, MD (Rochester, NY), perform an open allograft OATS® procedure of the femoral head using allograft OATS instrumentation. In this cadaveric demonstration, Dr. Giordano and Dr. Cook outline the technique for an open surgical dislocation with a trochanteric osteotomy to gain access to the joint space. The video ends with an overview of the steps necessary to replace the damaged cartilage of a lesion in the anterior superior region of the femoral head.
