Midfoot fractures can significantly compromise the integrity and shock absorption capacity of the midfoot, predisposing the Lisfranc complex to posttraumatic pathology. Lateral column lengthening with external fixation, navicular repair, or arthrodesis procedures are viable options to achieve optimal rates of healing and functional outcomes.
